This is a huge polyester blanket that with practice, folds up nicely into a small, carry-able package. It’s a tad heavier than I imagined due to the pvc, which means it weighs itself down more than I imagined, but I haven’t been to the beach yet to try it out. I assume the hot sun won’t heat the mat, and it’s large enough for two to three people, and you can lay out a towel on top of it if needed.
