After doing a ton of research (and getting a little help from AI!), this bed was the first purchase I committed to for a much-needed bedroom makeover. As you can see from the photos, the room is still very much a work in progress, but this bed alone has already made a massive difference!
I absolutely love the color, the upholstered wingback design, and how much more expensive it looks than it actually is. I was also genuinely impressed with how well it was packaged and shipped. Everything arrived in perfect condition with no damage.
Assembly was surprisingly straightforward. I put it together entirely by myself in about two hours. One clever detail is that the headboard actually folds for shipping, but you'd never know it once assembled. The way the fabric and frame come together makes it look and feel like one seamless piece.
For reference, my mattress is 18" thick, and the bed doesn't require a box spring. You could probably use a low-profile one if you wanted additional height, but it's definitely not necessary.
I also have a brindle French Bulldog who sheds, and I was initially concerned about her fur sticking to the upholstery. Thankfully, that hasn't been an issue at all! The fabric has been surprisingly easy to maintain.
One tip: During assembly, I added furniture felt pads to the feet, which makes it incredibly easy to slide the bed across my hardwood floors whenever I need to move it for cleaning.
My only regret is not purchasing the version with built-in storage. I opted for this one to save money, but the lack of clearance underneath makes vacuuming a little inconvenient. I generally have to pull the bed away from the wall to properly clean underneath, where dust inevitably collects. In hindsight, I think the storage version would have been worth considering for both the extra functionality and easier maintenance.
That said, this room doubles as a guest bedroom and home office, so I really didn't want to spend $2,000 on a bed. For what I paid, I'm extremely happy with the quality, appearance, and overall value. It looks far more expensive than it is and has completely transformed the room already. I can't wait to see how everything comes together once the makeover is finished!
