The pattern in the picture is striking, but not so in reality. It turns out the colors are muted. The black is washed out and gray. The red is pink. Actually the design is washed out as well. Im keeping it because it’s too difficult to return and will live with it. It is a costly rug and was hoping it would look more like its picture. Perhaps a smaller size would look better. Photos don’t clearly show that the gray parts of this rug have ivory striped “distressing” or “vintage” look patterning, which some may like but I’d personally tried to avoid in selecting this rug.
