Read before you purchase!!! I am a lifelong Wayfair customer. This is the first time that I have ever had to complain about not only the product but the Wayfair Customer Service that I am experiencing currently. Despite damaged packaging all items were intact and seemingly unharmed. Problem #1: None of the screws, washer, etc. are labelled. I had to "try" to figure out which ones were which and then label them myself. Problem #2: Instructions are garbage. Problem #3: Hydraulic arm does not move/budge despite multiple efforts to move it. I contacted Wayfair and was told I would have to wait a few days to hear back. Not something you want to hear when you have your team of workers at the house trying to wrap things up. We googled this problem, searched through countless videos and tried everything under the sun. Some videos says that you have to put the mattress on top of it and the weight will make it work. Push down on the sides of the bed, etc. None of these issues solved the problem. The hydraulic arm did not move at all. Wayfair responded by asking for a video of the mechanism that was the problem. I sent it. Then they asked for me to send a video of the mattress on the top of the bed not working properly. They send you a defective piece and do not warn you about this at all and then ask you to send proof that you have tried to fix the bed by doing things you already tried. Keep in mind, they do not let you know of this problem with the bed and the hydraulic arm. A problem that they clearly know about and should warn the buyer about before you make your purchase. Let me set the scene for you on this one: You take the mattress off the bed. You install the hydraulic piece inside. You then put the mattress on top of the bed. You lift the bed. The bed is lifted up at a 90 degree angle, but the bed is locked and will not come down. Now your queen size mattress is on top of the bed and is quite heavy and the system is locked up and will not come down no matter what you do. The only solution is to disassemble the product to get the bed to close. Problem is that there is a queen size mattress on top of the bed now and the bed is at a 90 degree angle. This is where I got hurt and strained my back. My options were limited: I could crawl underneath the bed and disassemble it so the frame would lower, but unfortunately I would then be trapped underneath the bed with a queen size mattress on top of me with no hydraulic system to lift it up. Is this the video they want me to create and send? What I did instead was put a ladder underneath the bed to ensure it would not fall on me and crush me, disassembled the hydraulic system entirely, and then tried to move the mattress off the bed before moving the ladder out. This is how I got hurt. This is quite heavy and I do not want another customer to be put in the same predicament that I was in. Instead of asking customers to jump through hoops, how about Wayfair provide a product that works. That is, after all, what we paid for. And while you are at it, let customers know that the problem exists and what possible solutions can be done to fix it. For those of you who are looking at this product, I would suggest that you look elsewhere. I am now going round and round with Wayfair which is most unfortunate. I have never had such terrible customer service from this company and would not wish this upon anyone. I pulled my back doing this, spend way more time on this project than could be anticipated, and have no resolution as of this writing. Best of luck if you choose to move forward with your purchase..
