Shelf is a great size, feels sturdy but is still quite light, and despite some other reviews saying otherwise I had a really easy time assembling it. I do agree that the plastic on the plexiglass can be a tad hard to take off on some corners, so I'd recommend a razorblade or boxcutter for that.
