Mixed thoughts. Good first: the end product is exactly as described and I needed something that was exactly that tall and exactly that wide. It's level and feels sturdy. Full marks for being as described. Bad second: NOTHING lined up. I couldn't use any of the small dowels because none of the holes lined up. NONE of them. I didn't use calipers to measure, but I'd say they were about 4mm off-center. The interlocking screw/bolts didn't line up, so while the screws were able to bend a bit to get into the locking space, they don't actually lock because they're not actually long enough. I had to use a mallet to get some of the screws to line up to finish assembly. Because none of them lined up perfectly, none of the edges are perfectly flush, so there's a very small lip on the sides of the shelves. And the assembly instructions were very poorly printed (or photo-copied) so they were nearly impossible to read. The screws were sturdy/thick screws though and their attachment points had metal threads (or bolts maybe) in them, so they did feel secure once in place. I love the idea of this more than the difficulty of getting it assembled. If things lined up, it would be a straightforward assembly, so it just... misses the mark for me.. Anonyme. Sat Apr 18 2026
