Nice quality material but design not well thought out. Pole sections do not bolt together. They fit onto the top of each one below. There is definite concern that a wind load on the sail could pull the pole apart with potentially catastrophic results (if the sail is blown around with a heavy top section of pole attached). Can’t understand why the sections would not bolt together, especially since the bottom screw tipped section does not screw into the ground deep enough to effectively anchor the pole for a sail. If they bolted together, you could turn the 2nd bolted section to drive the 1st section deeper into the ground. Didn’t anyone think about that?? Seems obvious.. Elizabeth. Bay Head, NJ.
