The sign is metal but very fragile. I did not care for the way it was packed in the box, when I opened it, it had so much plastic wrap it was hard to remove and the sign bent in the process. I was able to bend it back. It should be wrapped in just bubble wrap, easier to get to. I hung it by using 2 small nails in the loop of the letter F and letter L.
