Pantry Fabulous! Instructions Suffering!
The pantry itself is great. We love it. The doors are even soft-close! It’s sturdy and attractive. HOWEVER, if you plan on following their instructuons, you will need to lift weights for a year or two before you assemble it. Here’s why The instructions tell you to put together more than half of the pantry, and then to lift it, your hands WILL be above your head at this stage, holding your end of about 100 lbs) all while carefully aligning it with the four, flappy (until you secure them) panels, with screws and dowels protruding, on the bottom section. And to be clear, there is no way to actually SEE said screwsdowels, from your position holding a half a pantry above your head. My hubs and I are both quite accomplished in the construction fields and there was ZERO chance we were going to be able to do this.
IF you had a couple super strong peeps lifting and holding it, and another couple of peeps on the floor aligning all the holes exactly over the screws and dowels, and then holding them while the brawny peeps slowly lowered the upper section, then maybe.
Our solution was to take back apart the lower half, (grrr!) lay the upper on the floor on its side, and attach the pieces to the upper part one by one. Then we walked it up into place. From its side, bc it would have been way too big to lay on the floor on its back, within the kitchen. Other than that huge gaffe in the instructions, the pantry is tops!. Michelle. TX. Sat Jan 31 2026
