This went together ok. The insulation panels, without something to cover them I can see a cat digging at them and tearing them apart. I've had this together and outside for a few months now...cats aren't using it yet but it's holding up in the weather pretty well. I didn't install the hydraulic arm...the directions weren't super clear on that and the tension in the arm was just too much for me to want to deal with. But that's a me problem I reckon.. Mary. My husband I just assembled the cat house for a feral cat that lives along a ravine behind our backyard. She had kittens a few weeks ago and we are feeding her well. We don’t know where the kittens are. Probably under someone’s shed. We are anticipating her to bring the kittens to eat when she is weaning them. Our goal is to trap them all together and get them spayed, neutered and their shots. We don’t have any structures in our backyard so I bought this for her so that when it rains she can still come and eat. I’m praying that the raccoons, possums and other stray cats leave it alone. It was easy and quick to assemble with the two of us. Everything was labeled well and instructions were simple. It is not a real heavy structure so we are going to put anchors in the ground and put straps on it to prevent it from flying away in high winds. We put it on bocks to lift it from getting saturated when heavy rains arrive. We live in Tampa where it is very dry right now, but rainy season will soon be upon us.
