This range hood fit perfect in our small peninsula space of our kitchen. Easy to work and all the finishes and features are definitely top-notch.

There is no extension for this hood and my installer put it up and the parts that came were too short!!! We have to put this back in the box and go through the headache of returning it because god forbid you need an extension. You can not get one with this hood.

The end result was well worth it. I did however need to cut the upper sheet metal due to my 8 foot ceiling. It took a full day to install. I use it as recirculating, and had to find charcoal filter material and mesh. This did not come with the filters for the motor, and I was warned that that kind of filter for the motor worked poorly anyway. It's a Made-in-China no-name unit. So finding motor filters proved impossible anyway. The instructions are "general" so I advise having an experienced person install it. I am a mechanic, so I have the experience. That said: It does look nice and works well. There was some shipping damage, that was on the part of the sheet metal I needed to cut off for the chimney. My island is normal height, and an 8 foot ceiling. A roll of activated charcoal filter material and some wire mesh was easily found. No one makes charcoal filters the size of the grease traps, so you have to make your own. Adding: Now that this hood has been in use for over a year, I can say I do love it, and it is working fine.
