Initial setup was quite tricky, but it’s a weekend DIY. Initially taste of the hot water was not good, and tasted like plastic. But after a week it was plain with no taste. Would wait to see its performance on a longer run

Awesome RO system for my home. It's not that easy to hook up though the place I wanted the water cooler was about 15 feet from my sink and the out water line they give you is only 5 feet. You will need a water in and a water out as the RO system cleans the water and sends out the impurities. I didn't want to drip into pipes so hired a plumber instead, The plummer used copper lines with a place to hook up my rubber lines in the back of my fridge so was nice. Only bad thing the plumber charged me more than what I paid for the cooler. Oh, well now I have permanent lines for a water cooler in the future but hope this last me more than a few years with proper maintenance on the unit. The 4 stage filters say they can go for 950 gallons of water also ever few hours the tank fills up so for every gallon of water you get about 4 gallons of waste. Haven't seen my water bill yet just ran it a few days but I'm sure my water bill will go up a few bucks because it's refilling the tank every 3 or 4 hours. I'm thinking maybe water bill will be $30-$50 more a month something to consider if you like to drink purified water. I did buy trace minerals as the system does get out essential minerals like calcium, potassium, sodium and magnesium that is found in tap water. The water taste great and refreshing the cold is really cold and hot is hot enough for tea or hot chocolate. If I get a big glass of RO purified water I squirt a couple drops of my trace mineral supplement nutritional value. Overall love it and great to have if you worry about a possible future water supply issue like what happened in Flint Michigan and now Jackson Mississippi recently. It's a great unit and working great so far. Worth it.

The water in room temperate is flowing as cold. There is no temperature control for HOT and cold. Documentation provided for installation was easy to undertand and complete.
