We have had the white model since 1998. Although it has functioned relatively well, the paint is very sticky now. When trying to clean with any sort of soap or degreaser, the paint rubs off in sticky clumps. Don’t want to get a new one (stainless steel) as I like the design but put off at inability to really clean this anymore without removing paint. Would only recommend in non painted version.

I purchased this range hood in 2003 and it has served me well for 16 years! However, it is very difficult to clean. I have cleaned the filters 3-4 times a year and also replaced them a couple of times over the years. My concern has been the grease that has accummulated in places I cannot reach. Nonetheless, I am replacing it with the same model to avoid having to change my current kitchen design. Hope it lasts another 15 years.

I have had this fan for about 15 years. I wish I did not have this fan. It is extremely difficult to clean. Choose another!

Had somebody install it. No idea how to clean the inside. Been changing the filter and wiping down the metal parts. I am not sure if that is enough. Liked that it is hidden in a cabinet but not sure if works enough. The smoke detector in the house turns on when my husband is cooking steak or baking?? But you can smell outside the food he is cooking also
