About This Product

The F40000 series provides installation flexibility with 4-way convertibility to fit virtually all applications. The hood is designed for under cabinet use and instals as 3.25" x 10" ducted opening with vertical or horizontal ducting; or 7 in. round vertical ducting or as non-ducted with air recirculation. The hood features a fan designed for years of trouble free service, an easy to clean grease filter, a protective lamp lens that distributes light evenly over the cook-top and control switches for fan speed and light activation.

Besides checking the product measurements, you should also:
Check your venting capabilities; Check if your home has installed ductwork. If it does, or you plan on getting it installed, you should look for a ducted (vented) or convertible range hood. If your home does not have installed ductwork, you should choose a ductless (non-vented) or convertible range hood.
Measure Your Space: First, measure the width of your cooking surface from one side of the cooktop to the other. Next, measure the width of the area between cabinets where your range hood will live (if applicable). Then, measure the space between the cooking surface and cabinets or ceiling above. There should be anywhere from 24 to 36 inches between the bottom of the range hood and the cooktop surface. Finally, measure the depth from front to back of the cooking surface.
