We installed this for our stove. The flap makes a lot of banging when it is windy. I would not recommend it.

Solid and well built. Most hood vents with dampers don't have any kind of foam on the damper so when the wind blows it is metal on metal. This one has a nice continuous foam strip around the damper flap and helps make this a quiet hood vent
