PROS: Range works. Looks Nice. CONS: Took forever to arrive. When It arrived it was slightly damaged and the oven door wont close fully as you would expect, it requires an extra push to secure the door closed and activate the switch, otherwise the oven wont turn on and your food wont cook, lol, to illustrate it, you shut the oven and walk away thinking in an hour or so your food will be cooked only to return to see everything they way it was left, the oven door requires you to push it close after you have closed it, anyways to add insult to injury, I reached out to Wayfair but no one got back to me. I would have returned it but then I wouldn't have had a range so I am left to deal with this.

I bought this oven 5 years ago, was using it today to bake muffins at 350’ and suddenly the exterior glass door shattered into pieces. How does that happen! There doesn’t seem to have any damage internally, but the external glass on the door fully shattered. Can no longer use it, and haven’t had any luck getting a response from a GE rep to get info or whether this is a common issue. Beware.

Item purchased 2 weeks ago to replace a 21yo (other brand) range that had definitely seen better days. After several months of fighting with the old stove to maintain temperatures and playing "spin the dial cooktop temperature roulette", we went searching for a new replacement unit. We were happy to see that this unit came with all the newer features in a nice SS package. Preparing meals is no longer an educated guess as to ready time. Looking forward to a long relationship with this new kitchen addition (along with matching fridge).

We bought this model GE range (JCB840SK4SS) in November 2021 and I have not been thrilled (with the oven part). GE claims that with the “True Convection” feature you can cook/bake things faster (25% faster). This has not been the case for me. After following their guidelines for temperatures and rack placement my food (especially my baking) takes at least two times longer. At first I thought this was adjusting to a new stove, but after having it serviced I now know it is not me, it’s the range. The technician who came out said that 1) When the oven states that the oven has reached the set temp, it’s not. You should give it at least 30 mins to warm up. I was really impressed at how fast it reached my desired temp, not realizing that’s not actually the case. 2) Also, he’s dealt with a number of complaints about this particular range when it comes to the convection. Stating that you would be better off not to use that feature. I am disappointed with his range, promising things that it just can’t deliver on. And especially with the cost of things (like appliances) going up. That all being said, the stove top is great! The elements heat up really quickly. But even with the elements working well, this range still leaves me wanting more.

Today received this new range. This range has several options for using the oven, however the quick guide is near useless. There are NO explanations or descriptions on "how to" use each of the settings for the oven. I searched extensively the GE website and only could find information on how great the product is, but NO USER GUIDE with explanations on HOW TO use the settings. Very unfortunate. Appears I will need to purse trial and error.
