I bought this fridge about one week, happy the fridge have bright LED lights upper & lower. strong components, modern design compared to others US brands. If GE can consider to reduce the total height from 70 in. into 68 in. would be much better. I need to remove two cabinet doors to suit this fridge otherwise I need to return it. Fridge noise are acceptable compared to my 28 years (still working) old fridge. Highly recommend to buy the GE fridge, I did research over 2 months of other brands for reliable, services, complaint, parts available etc. Finally choose GE.

Loud whine of varying pitch constantly emitted during cooling cycle.

This fridge was delivered less than two weeks ago. It is a nice design and it seems to be keeping temperature, but the other review is correct that it makes a loud whining noise whenever the compressor is on. It changes pitch as it whirrs and is quite unsettling. I can't escape it no matter what floor of my house i am on.
