It’s a beautiful range hood although the installation was quite difficult as flexible venting is not allowed in our region. Definitely a 2 person job.

Finally completed installation of this range hood. Pleased overall, however good did not come with charcoal filters needed for ductless operation. Additionally, installation requires a very narrow installation height above the cooking surface. Found that the ventless operation of this product is substandard. Leaves oily film and cooking debris all over cabinet and wall surfaces.

For starters, this looks really nice - a beautiful unit to be sure. But I'm lucky to still be married after installing it, because installation was truly a nightmare. First of all, note that it will be way harder than you expect to attach the glass. I ended up using masking tape on the rubber pads and punching a hole in the tape so that when I was trying to get the screws in, I could look through with a flashlight to see if the holes were lined up. Secondly, know that the "minimum height" measurement of 22.4" is fictional. When the unit is sitting on the ground with the chimney mounted on it, it is 22.4". However, it can't be mounted as 22.4" because of the bracket that goes near the ceiling - it pulls "inner chimney" out about 1.5" taller. So the actual minimum, installed height is about 24". This is absolutely critical information that would have saved us a lot of trouble and is definitely the main driver for such a low star review. Finally, the fins in the damper chattered together really badly when we connected our duct to the unit. There was no issue when the duct wasn't connected, or when we just held the ductwork close to the unit (thinking that it was hitting the connecting duct), so maybe they would work really well in a non-ducted situation (though I believe the purpose of the damper is to prevent backdraft, which you wouldn't have in a non-ducted situation), but something about the airflow when the duct is connected caused them to chatter. We ended up just completely removing the damper, deciding that we weren't too concerned about backdraft.

love the style of this range hood. it updated my kitchen and it a real show piece. have received several compliments of it.
