I'm not a fan of the controls. They're motion activated and seem a little inconsistent. The fan works well though and clears out smells quickly. It can be a little loud too on certain settings. For the price is okay but I'm glad it wasn't more expensive.

Awesome. Suction is excellent! Very clean and modern looking

First, I want to make it very clear that this is a review of the SPECIFIC Range Hood MODEL shown here. If the review was only on the way Wayfair Customer Service people patiently listened to my complaint. They delt with the situation as well as they could, by sending two more unopened boxes continuing the same hood over a couple of weeks (with free return shipping labels). The two replacements had exactly the same problem, showing us it was a design flaw and not a single bad unit. If this review was just Wayfair and their customer service, it would be 5 stars. But this particular model has some inherent design problems. As you can see by the first of the included pictures, the hood is pretty well out of sight when installed. The second picture is a closer shot showing that you can just see the stainless-steel edge of the hood, but you cannot see any of the Touch Control buttons. The third picture was taken with the camera lying on the Stove Top shooting upwards. Now you can see the control panel. Unfortunately, it's upside down. The last picture shows how I coped with this problem. I cut little strips of red electrical tape and attached them to the stainless edge of the hood to indicate where the touch controls are. By putting your extended finger under these strips and moving it upwards to the touch the glass, you can make the lights go on and off or change the fan speed. You might be wondering why you can't use the featured Hand-Wave Gesture. From what I've read in other reviews of other versions of this otherwise same product, Gesture Control works OK when the touch panel (with its two Infared sensors) faces the user. The infrared pickup "sees" the heat of your hand as your hand moves across a comparatively cool background. I think the problem is that the touch control panel on this particular model, is aimed down at the warm stove top. That means that the simple infrared sensor cannot pick your warm hand out from the warm/hot background. As a retired test engineer who was paid to analyze this sort of problem, I eventually found that even with a warm cook top, if you put a wet wash-cloth heated to the boiling point in a microwave in a ceramic bowl and waved it back and forth under the sensors, the contrast in heat between a ~200° washcloth and the relatively cool ~100° stovetop, allowed it to function. That suggests that it isn't a problem with the mechanics of the controller it was the positioning of it in this particular model. If you look at the Wayfair website, you'll see they have several versions of this otherwise good vent, that have the controls in different locations. I would suggest that you choose a vent hood where you can see the infrared controls easily and they can "see you" so to speak. Avoid this spcific model.

The customer service is very professional and responds very quickly.

This range hood was exactly as advertised. Came packaged perfectly, with sturdy styrofoam protecting the components. Looking forward to adding a custom hood. The glass does show marks very clearly. Just rubbing out a spot left easily see fingerprints, but the remote may help avoid that. Otherwise very slick and modern.

Awesome hood does exactly what it says! Light is nice great hood for the price would recommend every day

Tested, everything works. Lots of air movement. Remotes works. Just need to removed the old one and install it in place.
