[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very impressed with this dishwasher...It was so quiet that I honestly thought it wasn't working the first time I used it. Dishes are crystal clean every time...Absolutely the best dishwasher I've ever owned by far.

We paid four-figures for our KitchenAid dishwasher with the theory that we were getting better quality and longer life. It developed a leak after 18 months, 6 months past the end of the meager 1 year warranty. The cost of repair is half the cost of the unit, about the price of an average dish washer. I have found the issue - a failed gasket. KitchenAid doesn't sell just that gasket, you have to buy the complete sump assembly. The gasket is made of a foam, the compression based on screws into plastic. These are planned obsolescence decisions aimed at selling the extended warranty maintenance subscriptions and new washers. The features of the washer itself were fine, no better or worse than any other dish washer we've owned. I didn't mind that though, assuming the extra cost was for reliability. Nope. Big waste of money :(

Purchased Feb of 2022. After 4 years of use, which it has been working great, I noticed several spots on the wire racks that are rusted and making the coating peel off. I went with kitchenaid hoping the quality would be superior to other brands. The operation of the dishwasher is great but never expected the racks to start rusting already.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the same model for several years and bought a new one for another home. I especially like the 3rd rack which is deep enough for bowls and not only silverware. I have said consistently that this is the best dishwasher I have ever had. (The old one is now nearly 6 years old with no problem.(
