My HVAC guy recommended this range hood to me. Apparently there is a switch to turn town the maximum CFM so that the unit isn't to powerful and passes code without having to accommodate make up air.

I researched all the exhaust vents for my kitchen and this is the one that had the highest rating. It is the most quiet insert out on the market. I love all the bells and whistles that are controlled by the remote dial that conveniently attaches to the hood by its magnetic force.
