I bought this insert hood for a custom cabinet enclosure, and it has worked out beautifully. The 21-inch size is compact enough to fit perfectly under a standard 12-inch cabinet depth, which was exactly what I needed for my smaller kitchen layout. Despite its compact size, the 400 CFM blower is quite powerful. It easily clears away smoke, steam, and strong cooking odors on the lower speeds. It runs very quietly on the first two settings, though the highest speed does get a bit noisy—but it clears the air so fast that I rarely need to keep it on high for long. The built-in dual-level LumiLight LED lights provide great, uniform visibility over my cooktop. Maintenance is a breeze too, since the aluminum mesh filters can just be popped right into the dishwasher. It is an efficient, high-quality insert for the price!

These are a great option for a small space that needs great ventilation. We used these on one of my projects and the installation was easy as well! great item!

Powerful. Does a great job, not too noisy at all. Good lighting. Would recommend, MY GC said I could go above 500 CFM bc the vent exhaust pipe diameter so this was best option

Small but powerful. Better than our previous larger hood vent. Light’s color temperature is neutral, not too warm or cool.
