Door weight too heavy for quality of springs. DW was not engineered properly. ZLine acknowledged that in emails, even has told me that but won't fix it or replace it.

Defect - door spring not rated for door weight so DW is open 6" unless locked. ZLine doesn't care and says they cannot and will not fix it or replace it. Rubber seal rubbed off on one side due to misalignment. If you are between loads and you lock it, it is smelly when you open it. Here is Zlines response: This additional weight causes both the larger gap when the door is cracked open for air drying and the misalignment that is rubbing against the rubber buffer. Because this unit is designed with standard springs, heavy-duty spring upgrades are not manufactured for this model. They admit their own mistake of not accounting for the door weight but will do nothing about it. DO NOT BUY from them.

Bought this unit four years ago and it does not wash well not does it dry well. The salt compartment clumps up.

The product has a manufacturing defect that the door does not have a resistant spring. The door is very heavy, cannot hold itself up and falls freely when opened. This is a brand new product, purchased and contracted by the develop of the whole residential community where more than 60 homes are newly built. I got no where to ask for help. My developer said the manufacturer's responsibility for the manufacturing defect and let me get help from you, but I don't have a receipt. So I fell in a crack with the new home and new dishwasher!
