Bought this unit 13 months ago. We have not had any mechanical issues. However, there are 2 issues that are frustrating 1) the agitation and spin cycle excessively beat your clothes which produces ALOT of lint. There is no lint filter in the machine to collect the garment fibres that break off during these cycles. We had to install a lint trap in the stink drain to collect all the lint that MUST be cleaned after (and sometimes during) every use. If not, the lint will clog our drain pipe with grey hardened lint that requires a plumber to break it up! 2) dark clothes regularly get covered with grey lint smudges. These need to be cleaned off manually. because of this we question the cleanliness of the laundry. We just use tide liquid soap - at most level 3 of 5 on the measure. We will add borax powder or Oxiclean powder to the towel loads only. We bought GE based on the trust we had with our local independent retailer. We have a GE dryer and Fridge that are working properly. But the washing machine...? Probably would not buy it again. A relative has a HE Top load in another brand and they don't have these issues.. This the worst washer I have ever owned. So noisy. Does not spin as well as my old one that was 25 years old. Fabric softener spots on my dark clothes. No option for a deep rinse/fill for colours. My old machine removed way more lint than this one, my clothes come out with lint. I have no idea how people have given this washer a 5 star review.. Unhappy Customer2. Toronto, ON. Fri Oct 24 2025

I would give a zero if I could. I bought this washer yesterday and can't use it because it is leaking so much from the back panel. It is not leaking from the water valve but the whole back panel. Beware before buying!. Frustratedbarb. Schreiber, Ontario. Tue Jun 30 2026
