Not as sturdy as I was hoping, several pieces came split. It shakes when my small daughter climbs on it. We will see how it lasts, but I am guessing we will end up having to reinforce (buying materials to do so). Photos show how these items came fresh from the box.

Solid bed, 2-3 people and took about 5-6 hours. Invest in a bit for a drill it will go a lot faster. Not giving 5 star, the whole desktop space has about 15 bolt heads in the top, poor design should have figured out how they could bolt from the bottom. Looking at buying thick vinyl mat or plexiglass to have a good smooth surface top, figure we can put pictures or mementos in between to hide the bolt heads.

Overall, I'm happy with the quality of the bed, and the amount of time it took to put together. My 10yr old is overjoyed with it. It's pretty sturdy, and I don't feel any need to secure it to the wall or anything I do have two issues with it though which is why it's not 5 stars for me: My biggest issue is that I ordered this 'version' (since there are several almost identical looking ones like this on Wayfair) because it didn't have exposed screw holes on the desk where you would be writing (like others did). However, this one still has holes, which the pictures are very misleading about (or they shipped me the wrong product). Since this was a main deciding factor of ordering this, I'm fairly annoyed about that. The second issue is that some bolts were missing. That was remedied by a quick trip to a hardware store, but it added an hour to the construction time.

Beautiful bed. I wish you could change the configuration of the ladder. You can see all of the bolts, I have to buy white stickers to cover them.
