This is the best bed system that we have built! It had pockets created for boards to sit in to assist with assembly. It also is the sturdiest bunk bed that we have put together. The bottom bunk has enough head room for an adult male to sit up and not hit their head. The top rail is still above the mattress which is 6-7 inches thick.
