Very disappointed with the assembly of this.  not only did it take from 10 am to 7pm to assemble, once she left i noticed there were missing screws many damaged areas. Wayfair has reordered it but it’s been days. My daughter started school Monday and she still doesn’t have a bed to sleep in.

The bed takes a few hours to assemble even with an electric drill. It was expected, so not an issue but be aware of that because we didn’t finish until 10pm and then had a very disappointed 7 yr old on our hands. The issue I have is with the safety aspects of the actual bed area. The slats came VERY dirty, stained with what looks like bug feces and with cracks and chips. I cleaned them as well as it could but honestly, these are what hold up the bed and should be sturdy and without flaws. Anyway, as it was the final step, we attached the slats to the loft bed and they were so short we could only screw in one side (please note the instructions only have you screw in one side although we did try to do both). We placed the bed on top and as expected, the slats fell through. They aren’t nearly long enough to support a regular twin mattress let alone a whole child. They are extremely lucky we didn’t let our son just climb up and test it out or they’d have a wonderful lawsuit on their hands. Dirty slats I can handle, but ones that were cut way too short for the job and out my child in danger Absolutely unacceptable. Be warned that the area where the slats sit require them to be 39” long and they are nowhere near that. See photos. Obviously the bed can’t be tested so I can’t comment on that. It looks nice and feels sturdy everywhere outside of the most important area. Honestly, this bed isn’t cheap and I expected way better quality for the cost. Hopefully my son will get to enjoy it in a few days when I purchase the proper sized slats for the bed.

Not especially impressed with the quality. When putting the 3rd screw in, the board split before it was even half way in. I had to re-drill the hole and fix it with wood glue. There were also several pre-drilled holes that were too big for the screws provided so the threads couldnt grab anything. With a few minor fixes its not a bad loft bed, my kid loves it.

Bought this for my 9yo who shares a room with a younger sister. She needed a place for herself and all her things, but there wasn’t room for a desk and bookshelf. This solved the problem. Putting it together is not for the faint of heart. It took my husband and me five hours working together. I wouldn’t recommend doing it alone… though I suppose it could be done. A few of the beams came cracked. Not on any of the critical joints, but on parts that still will get a lot of use, so we will be gluing and securing them. Two parts were drilled wrong, but it wasn’t hard to fix that and the wrong holes aren’t visible. Overall we are happy with the purchase and would buy again.
