Lit de jour double, support en lattes de bois

Don't love this but honestly was so much trouble putting it together I don't think I have the energy to return it. First, it took so long to put together, second there was damage on the wood because the silica exploded in the package and literally made string of tiny dents on the surface. Second the wings on the side have the support from on the wings from the bottom, but there's no way to lock them in, I worry about the stability of them. Next, the bars on the side "arms" didn't line up flush with the back part of the day bed, so one side had a bit of a gap. I lined up the screw holes and still didn't line up. Minor thing that I don't think people will notice, but, design! Many of the bolts made it in but then just kept turning, meaning they didn't really tighten and were faulty, I'd count about 5 or 6 that had this problem, at least. Last the bed slats were rough and splintery AF. I get that they sit under the mattress but still, come on people. Last, you can just see a lot of the bolts and wish they had designed in such a way where more were hidden so it looked prettier. Not very happy with this purchase.
