I’ll put the review at 4 stars to start. Overall, the concept of the bed and desk combo is interesting and practical. The design is decent, but not all it could be. I’m a little nervous about the sturdiness of the bed, but we’ll see how it works out for a 10 year old. The 2 things I’m unhappy with so far is the very strong chemical smell of the product (it has a California prop 65 warning label). It’s been 3 days since we’ve completed assembly and the room still smells like chemicals. And then of course I had to go down a prop 65 warning label Google rabbit hole, so we still have not been able to use it yet. The other is related to the design and assembly. Some of the parts were misaligned, which was irritating, but the most frustrating is that the desk drawer is the very last thing to assemble on the instructions, but it would not fit into the track. The track is too close together by about 1.5 mm. If I would have fit the drawer in at the beginning, I could have arranged some screws slightly to the side or not tightened some screws as much, but now I can’t do anything since the entire bed is put together. So I will have to figure out how to sand or shave down some parts of the “wooden” track.
