In general, the bed is solid. Ours only had a few pieces that had paint rubbed off them. We did have many pieces that had no label or were incorrectly labeled. I also had one piece that the holes were drilled in the incorrect place which required me to drill new holes. I built the bed alone and it definitely took a long time, much of which was used looking for a piece that didn’t have a label. It is very easy to attach a piece facing the wrong direction so watch the directions closely to try to avoid time consuming mistakes. My daughter loves us and it’s very solid.

Sturdy build overall, very functional, looks great, and lots of room to store things - and my son absolutely loves it! A couple of minor issues with two pieces, but Wayfair was super quick to support and send replacements. One thing to be aware of. There is a super fun space hidden underneath the bed (behind the drawers and closets) that can only be accessed awkwardly through the stairs which isn't ideal. I would suggest keeping one of the closet back panels off to allow for easier access to the space - whether for storage or for playing.
