The bed looked nice. It wasn’t very stable and did eventually break taking about three years for 100 pound child to have the base break from the headboard in an unrepairable way. Even when freshly built, the bed felt very rickety. And despite being designed for a trundle, risers had to be used to be able to fit a mattress underneath the bed without any sort of trundle device.
