Seemed overwhelming at first. The instructions were clear and everything was labeled as it should have been. Putting it together ended up going much faster than expected. Bed is sturdy as I get on the top and bottom bunks regularly. Very happy with this purchase.

I really like the functionality and support that the bed provides. My girls love it. My only recommendation would be to divide the top shelf into 2 or 4 pieces. It would also serve as support because no matter how many times we tell kids to not sit on the shelf, they will.

The one type of screws used for assembly are sorta difficult to use. Sturdy great for if you have a small space and need storage. Definitely want to assemble with 2 people. I did it by myself in a few hours though.

My grandson is 8 and loves this bed. It is very sturdy and the hole where the ladder sits is small so no fear of him falling out. The bookshelf at the end has given him lots of room for his toys. The only thing I’m doing extra is going to a hardware store and getting a piece of plywood cut to go on top of the slats. I’m afraid if he got rambunctious up top they might possibly bend or break so for extra security I am doing this. Only 1/2 inch because I do not want to raise his mattress any higher. I followed the recommended 6 inch and it works perfectly with the side railing

I had my doubts on how sturdy the bed would feel, and I have been pleasantly surprised! I have a pre teen and an older elementary aged child, and both feel so comfortable in this bunk bed. No creaking or shaking of either bunk when the other moves around. Plan to give it the whole afternoon for assembly. Yes, there are a lot of parts. I wish the shelves had more internal supports. I can already see how over time the top shelves will likely begin to sag (but not yet, obviously). My kids love to read and love to build up their own library, so we'll definitely be testing the boundaries haha! Overall, I'm very satisfied with the bunk bed!
