Product appears to be extremely sturdy and head boards are well made and heavy, not cheap stuff from the big box retailer, however, the side rails come with pre-installed 1"x1" boards pre-screwed to the side rails so all you have to do is screw in the mattress support boards that run across the width to support the mattress. Unfortunately, the mattress support boards are pre-cut too short so when you use the supplied screws, the 1"x1" boards split which is not safe. I am now going to have to make a trip to the lumber yard and do some carpentry work to make this usable. Tried calling for support, nothing. Pictures show you exactly what I mean. Could have been a 5 star review, now I have buyers remorse.
