SwaddleMe by Ingenuity Original Swaddle - Lady Bug Picnic (Set of 3)

While it was nice to have a set of relatively simple premade swaddles there were a lot of things that weren't quite right with it for us. Even the small size was difficult to get tight enough on our baby starting when she was just under eight pounds and giving up when she was about 12 pounds - the velcro just didn't seem to be in the right places (not to mention it stuck to all kinds of things). When she was very small the body wrapping flaps constricted her hips from opening properly and then by the time her torso was long enough the leg pouch was too narrow and her feet were cramped for space. By the time she was nine weeks old she would protest by kicking her legs out in unison (she had no other option as they were bound together) and quickly reached the top of her crib - to get around this we drew the leg pouch between her legs and attached it to the front with a safety pin so she the swaddle didn't ride up around her face. The velcro weakened quite quickly some worse than others, when she was little she got her arms out because it couldn't get tight enough and when she was bigger the velcro wasn't as strong and the fabric must have stretched. Also there's a little slit in the back that might be for fastening her into a swing or something while she's wearing the swaddle, but sometimes she got her leg out of it when she was less than ten pounds, I wish there was a little velcro flap that let you keep that closed. Also we did not find it possible to change her diaper despite the packaging saying that easy diaper changes were possible.
