The assembly directions are terrible. By step 2 they’re basically like, “welp, good luck to ya!” Absolute trash.

I would avoid this bed in toddler size. This is super cute and exactly what I was looking for, but still not even close to 5 stars. I ordered the toddler size bed so I didn’t need to get mattresses and as you can see, it is not the proper length for a standard size crib mattress (we have two newton mattresses). Additionally, the trundle will not go under the bed with a mattress on it; my husband lifted the bed so I could slide it under (without any he wheels) which is not ideal. I ordered separate risers and a headboard type pillow to fix the length issue, but it’s still cruddy. The instructions were awful and the screws came in three bags all mixed up. I will say though the materials of this bed are very good quality.

Very disappointed in this bed. Its my fault that I assumed that I was ordering a full size bed. I thought this because in the title, it says full. Full isnt needed to describe solid wood. So at first glance, it is a bit deceiving. But the reasons I gave this a one star is because as my daughter and I was pulling the pieces out of the box, we both ended up with splinters. The wood feels very cheap. I dont see this bed lasting too long. The hardware was not separated very well. As we started to put the bed together, we were only able to connect 2 pieces before the alan wrench was stripped. It was made out of a very soft metal. Its also very small. Doesnt feel too good on the fingers. Nothing about this bed felt like it had any quality.

PROS solid wood good quality feels sturdy looks charming in person most parts were all well labeled (see photos) CONS Many discrepancies in assembly instructions -Steps 2 and 7 would be better done by the manufacturer so height accuracy could be assured. -In step 7 part J looks centered on part L, but in step 8 it looks offset. -Parts I J were NOT labeled, and their illustrations offered no obvious insight as to which was which. The contradicting illustrations is steps 23 78 made this more difficult to untangle. SUMMARY Once you slog your way through the assembly, the end result is great. I would have given it 5 stars if the directions weren’t like a cryptic map from the DaVinci Code. As you can see in our photos, we will initially be using this as a playroom reading platform.

The bed was very easy to put together, the wood is very sturdy and smooth. We love how it has a trundle, we got the twin size and a regular twin size mattress fits perfectly on it. We haven’t purchased a mattress for the trundle yet, but I believe it might have to be one of the thin mattresses.
