Very well painted and nice and heavy.

The headboard is sturdy and nice. I have an older bed frame and the holes did not match up well. It would have helped if extra bolts would have been included that were needed to attach the frame (normal pass through bolts do not work as the holes in the headboard are not through the legs). The parts list said the bolts were 3/8 inch but the 3/8 I got at a hardware store did not fit.

Really impressed with the solid wood construction. This headboard is very heavy, which to me speaks highly of its quality and sturdiness (but you may need help moving it around). The painted finish is perfect and even. The only thing that I might call a negative is that the holes to install it to a standard metal bed frame are mis-aligned and there is no way to tell before you order it what type of bed frame will fit. We made it work by drilling new holes in the headboard
