This play oven is absolutely adorable. Kind of retro modern and perfect neutral colors. This could be a great piece however it was lacking in some major areas. The assembly instructions were very vague, which led to the wrong screw being used which ended up puncturing through the front of the oven. That being said, the wood for the doors and trays are quite flimsy. When you open the oven, the bottom tray hits the door support strings, which renders you unable to fully take out the tray. This leads to a thousand little pieces getting trapped beneath the tray, which are very difficult to remove. Big annoyance. These support strings are also quite delicate, and I cannot imagine they will last long with normal toddler wear and tear. The accessories are cute, the metal pan was a nice touch. We are trying to eliminate plastic, so we really like the combo of wood and steel. The knobs click as you spin them which is another cute touch. Overall it’s a very cute addition for a toddler kitchen, and if modified a bit it could be a staple. Hopefully it will last!
