Bed looks great! Feels pretty sturdy too! It was a bear to put together though. I did it solo, would be faster with help. The instructions were good for the most part and the holes were where they should be. Just very time consuming. Looks great in our room!

Directions were easy to follow. There were video instructions as well. Very sturdy. My boys love it. Perfect for nixed aged siblings.

Overall, this bunk is incredible. I’d say a more appropriate rating would be 4.5 stars. Since I can’t, I bumped it to 5 for quality and ease of instructions. It’s really well madesolid and not wobbly. My husband got on the top bunk to hang some pictures and he actually wasn’t wobbling at all (6 foot, 190 lbs). A few notable issues are that the center legsbar of the basebottom bunk are too tall so the slats don’t lie totally flat. My husband had to really drill the ends into the side pieces so the slats didn’t wobble. It also came with cheap wood screws for this part so he ended up using his own. We also had an issue where the wood on one of the pieces looked smashed on the end but it’s not a piece that shows. Otherwise, no other issues. From start to finish it took him and a friend about 4 hours to build. We are really happy with this purchase. On top of feeling as though it’s a quality item, we love the design, placement of the latter and most notably the color (slate)! It’s a nice wood greytan. If you’re on the fence, I’d say get it. It’s beautiful.

My husband and I were looking for a sturdy bunk bed for our guest room that could hold a good amount of weight. I was so happy to have found this! This holds around 400-450lbs on both the top and the bottom bunks separately! The color we chose was grey (in some pictures it looks brown due to the overhead lighting, but it is definitely grey). I also love that the bottom is able to be converted to a full and not just a twin, which is what we did. The top and bottom can easily be split up to make two seperate beds. The instructions are very clear and the pieces are labelled well. It took my husband and I a couple of hours to put together. It would probably be a little easier with 3 people, but we did it with 2. If you want to use it as a full, do not put the slates or outside bar on the bottom. I recommend reviewing the conversion kit instructions first. The only thing I would change about this bed would be to have the ladder a little slanted to make descending the stairs easier for adults. Otherwise this was an amazing purchase for a great price! We are super happy with our purchase!!!

Purchased 2 of these bunk sets over a year ago - was waiting to review to make sure they held up even with frequent use by older teenagers. These have been perfect - did take a few hours to assemble, but to be expected with a larger piece. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for extra sleeping space for growing kids or a vacation home.
