Beautiful bed, quite annoying to put together. The long piece that makes up the bottom of the shelf portion sags in the middle and there isnt a great way to give it more support. Generally the bed feels very sturdy and the big side shelf on top is a fabulous place to display all the little things kids love to display. The daybed was delivered quickly and in good shape. All pieces were there and probably took my husband about an hour to put together. The color is accurate with the photos. The only negatives are the visible screws and nothing provided (like stickers or covers) to hide them. They are very obvious and make it look cheaper than it should. There is also exposed unfinished wood near the drawers, again affects the appearance. That may be easier to hide once blankets are added. Great floor bed for children. This bed was easily to assemble. It is made of solid pine and is very sturdy. The attached bookcase is great for storage and display, It does not come with support slats but they aren’t required.
