Purchased for adult use in a small apartment and it works great! Very sturdy and good quality. We had three people putting this together: one to read the instructions and advise on bolt size for each piece and 2 people to construct. It included all tools needed, but please note that the instructions are a tad unclear in some steps and some minor problem solving may be required. For example: the reviews that state their holes didn’t line up simply needed to swap that piece to the other side of the frame, but the instructions don’t specifically mention that potential issue. (This was really limited to the angle support pieces in the first stage of assembly.) Also, when we installed the mattress support bars, there are some bars that will bolt in and are built to accept a bolt, and the other bars simply slide into the cut out slots to support the frame- these do not have the same receiving ends as the aforementioned bars; however, the instructions had us placing these in the wrong order. It was a simple fix of sliding the necessary bars out to line up with the bolt holes, but an issue that should be fixed in the instructions. In addition, the instructions should note that you will require 2 people to squeeze each end of the frame together while another person screws in the bolts when installing the last upper shelf/rail, as the holes do not line up without firm pressure to align it. It was for my daughter to give her a desk and hang out space and a place to put a papasan chair to watch tv while also upsizing her from a twin to a full size bed. We recently purchased a full-size loft bed, and overall, it has been a great choice. The instructions were clear enough, but patience is required. Once put together, it feels secure and doesn’t wobble much, though tightening everything carefully is key. A big plus is how much space it opens up—it makes the room feel bigger and more functional. The ladder placement is convenient, and the guard rails add peace of mind for safety. The only minor drawbacks climbing up and down in the middle of the night can be a bit inconvenient, and it may not be ideal for people who toss and turn a lot since it’s higher up. My 7 year old son loves his new bed! It’s sturdy and solid, the build was fairly easy (my husband and I completed it in an evening), and the unit is practical and fun. It opens up floor space for him as his room is small. Note that its not full height so he can’t stand underneath it, but its perfect for, a comfy chair, some books, etc. we also mounted his tv underneath so that he has a little hideout to play or watch a movie..
