It had 1,000 pieces and 1,000 steps to put it together, but it was pretty easy - just time consuming. It’s quite sturdy feeling and looks great. My only complaint is that the locking mechanism that keeps only one drawer open at a time is kind of loud and clanky. I have it mounted to the wall but it’s super sturdy and wide based if you didn’t. This is a great neutral wood finish that would be perfect for either gender. Plenty of space for storage on the shelves and as the baby transitions to toddler years you have the option to remove the changer on top and just have the shelving to this piece really does it all for a great price point. A little wobbly, but best changing table I could find that wasn’t horrendous looking. I have in my living room. You can keep it after you’re done using it as a changing table, shelves are very deep, so I’ll probably sell it and use a regular bookshelf instead. I absolutely love this dresser. It was easy to build and has had zero signs of wear and tear with my little one. The curved top makes it look nicer than a standard straight drawer. There is a safety feature that doesn’t allow more than one drawer to be open at once, which took a while to get used to be now I appreciate it.
