This bed is AWESOME! My 9yo daughter loves it and so does her 11yo brother. Right now she has a little sofa under it, but as she grows, we’ll be able to rearrange the space into something different! She went from hating her room to loving it. It did have a small flaw on the white pieces, but it was small enough to not worry about, considering what the kids will put it through. Cannot recommend this bed enough. I was pleased to find out it is mostly wood and not partical board, I have been several hours assembling it and not done yet, will finish after work tomorrow. Purchased for adult use in a small apartment and it works great! Very sturdy and good quality. We had three people putting this together: one to read the instructions and advise on bolt size for each piece and 2 people to construct. It included all tools needed, but please note that the instructions are a tad unclear in some steps and some minor problem solving may be required. For example: the reviews that state their holes didn’t line up simply needed to swap that piece to the other side of the frame, but the instructions don’t specifically mention that potential issue. (This was really limited to the angle support pieces in the first stage of assembly.) Also, when we installed the mattress support bars, there are some bars that will bolt in and are built to accept a bolt, and the other bars simply slide into the cut out slots to support the frame- these do not have the same receiving ends as the aforementioned bars; however, the instructions had us placing these in the wrong order. It was a simple fix of sliding the necessary bars out to line up with the bolt holes, but an issue that should be fixed in the instructions. In addition, the instructions should note that you will require 2 people to squeeze each end of the frame together while another person screws in the bolts when installing the last upper shelf/rail, as the holes do not line up without firm pressure to align it. Overall the bed is nice. My son really wanted a loft type bed so we chose this one for the look and also based on the good reviews. A lot of people said it was fairly easy to put together. The directions kinda sucked and it was just annoying to put together. Everything was labeled nicely at least. The insert with the Allen type key bolt isn’t our favorite type of securing mechanism but we cut the Allen key and made a drill bit making it a lot easier. Some of the wood pieces weren’t perfect or hollowed out enough. A piece actually came damaged but Wayfair sent out a new one right away, which was much appreciated. It doesn’t feel like the most solid structure. It’s fine to be sleeping on but I did warn my 4 year old not to be jumping or hanging on it. Time will tell how it holds up.. Gina. Ny, NY. It was for my daughter to give her a desk and hang out space and a place to put a papasan chair to watch tv while also upsizing her from a twin to a full size bed. Went together easily and is very sturdy.
