Very comfortable. Adds a good height to the mattress. You literally just sink into it so if you are looking for firmness, this is absolutely not for you. It didn’t have a smell, it is pretty heavy. I would say find something to anchor it to your mattress because one thing that annoys me is that it slides and moves very easily and has to be adjusted every so often. I change my sheets weekly so it’s not a problem, but even by then, it has already shifted considerably. Just something to keep in mind.
