Gorgeously and meticulously sewn, however, these shams are HUGH!!! I was not expecting them to be SO THICK (ie: depth wise). NOTE: I have a standard Queen size bed, with slim profile wrought iron rame & headboard; these shams take up more than 1/8" of the length of my queen size bed, so that when I lie down my feet actually touch the footboard, which NEVER happens when I dress the bed with conventional sized Euro shams. 2 photos show "standard/queen" sized pillow, to help visually gauge the scale of these Eastern Accents' Lourde Shams. I think these large pillow shams would probably work best on a king size bed, or an "extra long" custom-sized Queen size bed frame. Its a shame that I need to remove them each night from the bed, in order to sleep more comfortably. That's why I gave them 4 instead of 5 star rating. Esthetically beautiful, but functionally not very practical. FYI: I would describe the colour as soft, muted sage green. The Velvet material is on front and sides only, the backing is a sateen-cotton blend (?), same material & finish as the border/edge. Hope this review helps.
