Decent rug - feels fine under your feet but it's pretty thin. I would also say it is definitely NOT fully non-slip. I bought this for the top of our stairs as it's a place where one of our cats likes to lay. But I recently broke my ankle & leg and am using crutches (that leg is non weight-bearing for 8 weeks) and the first day I was up and walking after my surgery, one of my crutches landed on it and it completely moved - I almost fell down. Perhaps it stays better on tile (it's on hardwood) but when I see "non-slip" I assume it actually means non-slip.

Good quality - absorbent - definitely low profile as described just not much cushion once standing on it, worth keeping
