Terrific

Not comfortable. The memory foam makes me sink in way too much, making it hot and hard to move around. I'm skinny too so I couldn't imagine what a heavier person would do. I'll take a box spring any day over this.

I like the mattress but I don’t think it fits my or my wife’s sleep pattern . My wife is a side sleeper and I sleep on my back or stomach . We need to something that will meet in the middle of those two types of sleepers

We are on our second mattress. I enjoy this mattress a lot and my wife loves it. The only problem I have with it is that it lasts 2. 5 years before it starts developing large ruts. Neither of us are particularly heavy - both under 150 lbs, and this not-so-inexpensive mattress didn’t last even three years. The “guarantee” Helix offers is 100% useless as they require proof of perhaps what 20 years of sagging would look like. Anyway, this is how they continue to make money, make a very comfy mattress and make it disposable so customers buy it again.

This is a decent mattress, but I began to notice some sagging in the hips area around the time the trial period ended - I would have considered returning it if I had another mattress or time to arrange for one. It's not a firm mattress but more of a true medium - the soft pillow top meant that it was already about as soft as I could sleep comfortably on, so it now feels suboptimal (but isn't yet causing the kind of lower back pain that caused me to replace my previous mattress). As a result, although I prefer to sleep on my back, I find myself often sleeping on my side to avoid discomfort, since that position works better on softer mattresses. If you sleep with a partner, be aware that the edges are not reinforced and are thus quite soft, forcing you and your partner to sleep close together since the last ~6-8 inches on each side aren't fully usable. I'm concerned that this, too, will become softer over time, and this affordable mattress will turn out to expensive when I'm forced to replace it prematurely.
