I didn’t a lot of research on what to buy for my boys’ first big boy beds. And I liked that this was tailored towards kids specifically - including the littles who led through diapers or are potty training. It comes with a mattress protector and the top layer can be zipped off and cleaned. My boys love their bed and one of them is sleeping longer! Every parents desire. It also comes pillow and monkey stuffed animal (my boys also loved this). Definitely recommend.
