I absolutely fell in love with this comforter set! We get so many compliments from our friends and family.

First off, you should know the taupe color is straight up brown. It has a pinkish-purplish tint in the listing, at least for me, and I was expecting it to have a touch of that, but it is tan. Which is fine, but a bit boring. It doesn't have much "oomph". The other colors might be more interesting (the burgundy, for example). The pillow with the embroidery looked like it was almost white with gold, but in person it's tan on tan (shiny on matte). The pintuck pillow also looks lighter, when in person it is the same color as everything else. There is not as much variety as the picture makes it seem. If you look at the bluish one, how they are largely the same color, that gives you an idea. Just imagine it with tan. The skirt is flimsy, very thin, very cheap looking/feeling. The fabric for the pillow is also quite thin/cheap. The backing to the blanket (way too thin to be considered a comforter) is okay, but the stitching could be better quality. Since it's so thin, it will be easy to wash. But it's a weird middle ground - too warm for the summer, with the fur, but too thin for the winter. It's more like a decorative top cover, with some decorative pillows. I find it too expensive for what you get. At $75, I might be satisfied (even if they kept the cheap-y bedskirt I can't see myself using). At $60, I might feel like it was a good deal and I had gotten my money's worth. Overall, it's "just okay", not quite what I was hoping for from the listing. If I had seen it in person, I probably would not have bought it, at least, not at that price.
