Color didn’t match the picture

Very pretty comforter but I returned it since the description and picture is not accurate. The background pattern of the comforter is not what it looks like, and basically the same color as the motif scrolling. It is also very heavy and not for all seasons especially the summer.

This comforter looked beautiful in all of the pictures posted by Waterford on various websites; however, IMO it is very different in actuality. The colors look quite pale in the photos, but when I opened the package, I was quite amazed at how dark they were. I would say the predominant color on the comforter is brown, which is not what I expected. Also I was hoping the blue in it would be more prominent but it is overwhelmed by the brown. Also, the small pillow with the pearls and the dust ruffle are what I would say is seafoam green or a pastel teal. I think it would’ve looked much better with a beige dust ruffle because I did not think the color went with the flowers on the comforter. My previous comforter was also by Waterford and held up beautifully for many years. I like this one well enough, and I’ll keep it, but I do think the photo does not show a true representation of the colors. They are much darker than what appears in the photo. The blue pillows on my bed are from my old comforter set and are not included in the price.
