It did not smell and it was XL and the sheets fit sort of. It could have been more firm.

Not firm enough for the bed to support the top mattress .... moves around when sleeping in the bed from body movement.

I am usually skeptical about priding without trying out the item so naturally I was anxious to try this product. I needed a firmer mattress and my mattress is fairly new so I added this topper. Wow. Perfect for me. My back stopped hurting a couple of days after ordering. It is more firm than my egg shell fell topper but it is perfectly firm for me. God luck!
